Snowpack Aging, Water Isotope Evolution, and Runoff Isotope Signals, Palouse Range, Idaho, USA

چکیده
A snowpack’s δ2H and δ18O values evolve with snowfall, sublimation, evaporation, melt, which produces temporally variable snowpack, snowmelt, runoff isotope signals. As a snowpack ages, the relatively depleted of snow will become less sublimation internal distribution signals is altered melt moving through out snowpack. An examination for ephemeral creek water in Palouse Range northern Idaho indicated an evolution from variably to enriched snowmelt consistent springtime creeks. Within primary band mountain range during winter–spring period 2019–2020, had −130 −75‰ −18 −10.5‰ resulting −120 −90‰ −16.5 −12.5‰ δ18O. With creeks, compressed −107 −104‰ −15.5 −14.5‰ Aging produced increasing densities base, middle, upper layers along corresponding enrichment values. The highest elevation site least base layer, lowest strongest layer. Deuterium excess decreased aging processes accumulation release, migration vapor within It likely that winter (early signal) contributor creeks groundwater Range, but strong variability provides wide possible surface-water systems at front.

Electrochemical isotope effect and lithium isotope separation.
A large electrochemical isotopic effect is observed upon the electrodeposition of lithium from solutions of propylene carbonate producing isotopically light metal deposits. The magnitude of fractionation is controlled by the applied overpotential and is largest close to equilibrium. Calculated partition function ratios for tetrahedrally coordinated lithium complexes and metallic lithium predict...

The stable isotopic composition of drinking water, diet, and atmospheric oxygen influence the isotopic composition of body water ((2)H/(1)H, (18)O/(16)O expressed as δ(2) H and δ(18)O). In turn, body water influences the isotopic composition of organic matter in tissues, such as hair and teeth, which are often used to reconstruct historical dietary and movement patterns of animals and humans. H...
متن کاملHydrothermal evolution of the Sar-Kuh porphyry copper deposit, Kerman, Iran: A fluid inclusion and sulfur isotope investigation
Sar-Kuh porphyry copper deposit is located 6 km southwest of the Sar-Cheshmeh copper mine, Kerman Province, Iran. Based on field geology, petrography and fluid inclusions studies, four alteration types have been identified in the Sar-Kuh area. Early hydrothermal alteration formed a potassic zone in the central parts of Mamzar granite/grano-diorite stock and propylitic alteration in its peripher...
